What is physiotherapy at Novita?

Physiotherapy (sometimes called physical therapy treatment) is about supporting you to achieve your goals and participate in everyday life. We do this by improving movement and strength, managing pain and building your independence at every stage of life.

At Novita, our physiotherapists use movement-based activities to build strength, flexibility, and balance. We design personalised programs that support the development of motor (or movement) skills in ways that feel achievable and engaging. We also work alongside people to enhance mobility and independence through assistive technology, including mobility aids and splints.

Novita physiotherapists partner with people of all ages who experience movement differences or delays. This includes people with conditions that affect how their muscles, nerves, or brain control movement, as well as those with developmental or intellectual disabilities.

Whether you are living with disability, or supporting your child’s development, we design tailored programs to support you to achieve your goals, big or small.

Novita Health physiotherapists also support musculoskeletal conditions, chronic conditions and acute injuries.

Physiotherapy in practice

Novita’s Physiotherapists support kids, young people, and adults with disability to move with confidence, build strength, and become more independent. Watch to see how our team works with clients and families to set clear goals and create therapy programs tailored to each person. We can support with balance, coordination, mobility, and recovery using proven techniques to improve daily living. Physiotherapy can be flexible and convenient. Sessions are available at our hubs, in your home, at school, in the community, or online through Telehealth.
