Build friendships, learn new skills and work towards your goals

Our community programs, including our new and improved day options program, give you choice, flexibility and opportunities to grow at your own pace.

We start with your goals and needs. Whether you want to build confidence with everyday life skills, get out into the community more often or meet people who share your interests - your programs will be planned around you and will adapt as your goals evolve.

What are community programs at Novita?

Community Programs at Novita (previously called day options) are individualised, needs-focused and goal-based supports for adults with disability.

Instead of a one-size-fits-all model, we’ll work alongside you to design activities that reflect your interests, strengths and goals for the future.

How do our programs work?

Our traditional day options program was a Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm service, usually based at a Novita hub across metro and regional South Australia. While this is still an important part of what we offer, our new community rograms go further.

You can take part in our programs on the days and at the times that suit you. The activities and programs you take part in may also change over time as your goals evolve. Our programs can also adapt to match your personal circumstances.

Our Novita hubs continue to be an important part of the program, and they offer a safe, familiar, and supportive environment for our clients.

Our clients can choose where they spend their time - at our hubs or in the community. There is often a mix of both depending on what suits your needs, interests and goals.

Why choose Novita?

A welcoming community where you can belong

Enjoy warm, inclusive spaces designed for connection. Many people build genuine friendships and feel part of a community that values their strengths, interests and identity.

Comprehensive support for complex needs

Our teams are qualified to provide safe, high-quality support, including for people with complex health needs. When required and part of an agreed care plan, Novita is registered to implement restrictive practices in line with national guidelines. We always prioritise dignity, safety and wellbeing.

Safe, accessible and adaptable environments

Our hubs and vehicles are fully accessible, and you can move between hubs based on the activities you choose. Each environment is designed to be safe, supportive and responsive to a wide range of needs, including positive behaviour support.

Programs shaped around your goals and interests

Your goals guide everything we do. Activities are personalised, meaningful and flexible, so you can grow, explore and build skills at your own pace.

Skilled, caring teams who work alongside you

Our clients are always central to everything we do and you’ll be supported by experienced and passionate support workers. You can also choose to involve your own therapists or connect with Novita therapists as part of your program.
