What are Parent Education and Skills Workshops?

Our workshops are small, supportive group sessions where parents and carers can learn about topics that matter most to them. Sessions are relaxed, interactive and led by experienced industry professionals who specialise in child development, family wellbeing and practical life skills.

Topics change throughout the year based on community feedback, but often include:

  • Child development and early learning
  • Behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
  • Parent and caregiver mental health
  • Nutrition, healthy routines and family wellbeing
  • First aid for parents and carers
  • Cyber safety and protecting kids online

We also run workshops that build everyday life skills, supporting parents to feel more confident not just in their parenting, but in their day-to-day lives.

What is involved

Practical life skills for everyday confidence

Alongside parenting programs, we offer hands-on workshops designed to build independence and confidence in real-life situations.

Each workshop is created in response to real community needs — and if parents tell us there’s a topic they’d love to learn more about, we work to make it happen.

Recent sessions have included:

  • Basic car maintenance for women
  • Postpartum women’s Pilates
  • Financial literacy and budgeting skills
